Bullock's Orioles are native to California and we've been lucky enough to encounter several this summer.  One group was building nests in an oak tree and they inspired my most recent painting.  And I've included a couple other Bullock's Orioles paintings from years past.

White-headed Woodpeckers have a very limited range in the California Sierras and we are always thrilled to encounter one.  Last month we were lucky enough to find several and Dave got some wonderful photos for me to work from.  Here is the painting I just finished.

Here's one from five years ago which was included in the Yosemite Renaissance exhibit.

Kestrel, 8" x 8" watercolor on wood panel

Hummingbird and Sage, 12" x 6" acrylic on wood panel

Winter Goldfinch, 10"x 20" acrylic on wood panel

These are a few of the paintings I delivered to Many Hands Gallery, Capitola, last Tuesday.
